Left side of the receiver tube is marked "PAWS SALEM OR/ ZX5 0005". Top of mag. well retains its original factory markings above the S# "0005", with "PAWS/ SALEM OR/ ZX5" marked on the underside. Receiver and stock exhibit a exhibit a black "wrinkle" finish overall (receiver's finish applied over a phosphate finish), with some the bbl., bolt, and several other small parts exhibiting a phosphate finish. 1-piece checkered black synthetic grip with black enamel finished trigger. Post front sight with flip-up 2-position aperture rear sight graduated "100" and "200". Integral perforated shroud and receiver end cap are fitted with a brown leather sling. MAGS: 4 34-rd. Sterling mags. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: OD canvas web mag. pouch. Also accompanying this example is a letter from the consignor to Don Quinnel of DGS Manufacturing requesting to convert his PAWS to a proper Sterling configuration, as well as a letter detailing the work done to this example. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original black "wrinkle" and phosphate finishes. Left side of receiver tube exhibits a patch of finish loss at and around the S# area. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Sling remains malleable, showing scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some light age related cracking and crazing.
